EX3 West

Butcher Alley

The trek to the Alley brings your group into the deepest and darkest parts of Wu Jian. It is a maze of corridors and ladders and ramps that seem to lead down into the very abyss itself. By the time you arrive on ground level, the light from the sun is filtered down by grates, debris, and the towering buildings over you.

To say Butcher Alley stinks would be an incredible understatement of epic proportions. Blood and salt tinge the air with the undeniable smell of rot. The closeness of the buildings and the smell are enough to make anyone feel uneasy, but when you see the dried gore covered denizens that roam between the shops and storefronts, you suppress the sensation to throw up. You know the Black Tides claim ownership of this area and they will be watching you. The Temple lies at the far end of the alley.

Comments

Wren Walks with the group, but hangs towards the back, talking to a wirey, weasly looking man softly in accented, street, sea tongue. he shakes his head quickly and stops, putting hsi hands on the mans shoulders and looking dead set into his eyes before saying one word. “Devotion.” the man nods and wanders off. “The Black Hounds are rallying to our cause.”

Butcher Alley

Scythe removed the sheet from his weapon as the arrived at the location battle could begin. Choosing the option of naked steel to polite hidden steel. He felt like the idea of a full gang or mercenary company was to much but its not his crew being risked so he saw no reason to argue. Success would hopefully gained without bloodshed. He stood near the front of the group and waited holding the scythe loosely but ready in case of an ambush. “Shall we begin our little game?”

Butcher Alley

Starfall glides along with the others, cloak pulled back up to hide her features.

Butcher Alley

It is obvious that your presence has been noticed. Doors begin to close as you walk down the alleyway. Ahead of you two men step out of the shadows and block your path. A lithe man with a shaved head and wave tattoos down his arms brandishes brass knuckles on both hands and calls to you: “And where do you think you are going today? Those are some awfully nice clothes and it would be a same to get them dirty here in the alley. Why don’t you hand us them and your money and we might let you walk out of here unscathed.” The man behind him is a tower of muscle and has a butchers knife in his left hand. He sports the same wave tattoos down his arms……..

Butcher Alley

Also add 5 XP for everyone and 2 Solar.

Butcher Alley

Wren takes a small peek from behind the broad form of Scythe and half rolls his eyes half smiles. “The Black Tides, my my my what a, pleasure.” he says flatly, “I suggest you stay out of this and let us be on our way. You arent our business. Dont make yourself part of it.”

Butcher Alley

Scythe actually grins at the man with the butchers knife it seems that his weapon seems almost comical to him. He looses Soul Scream from his back and in one flowing motion lets it scrape across the stone ground. The sound of the weapon across stone is like a shriek of tortured souls, “I have a counter offer leave us alone and we leave you alone that way no one loses, trade aid on our task for something, or you can decide to hinder us and your blood can paint our path. I prefer the first or secound option but teaching fools about a real battle is a nice consolation prize.” He grins and waits more hoping his threat gives them pause and leaves an opening for the eclipse to try and make a better deal out of it.

OOC: I rolled a threaten just in case we want to get it moving. I dont want to overwrite anyone elses action. I rolled 6 success if it becomes necessary to use. Id be fine with just scaring them into creating a intimacy for Xiando to prey on for negotiating help. Whatever works best for the story.

Butcher Alley

The small man just smiles and seems to look right through you while the larger man seems noticeably shaken by the weapon on your back. However he appears to be holding fast to his leader for now. The smaller man whistles with his fingers and four more people come out of the shops. They bear no tattoos and look like butchers and meat haulers. They stare at your group without a sound.

Everyone roll a perception + awareness roll.

Butcher Alley

OOC: 3 success

Butcher Alley

JJ: 3 Successes let you notice something isn’t right. The way they move has a slight alien method to it. The large man seems to be as concerned as you are. For the briefest of seconds you think you see the mans eyes flash completely black and then back.

Roll lore and occult. Anyone you share this knowledge with can also make the same roll in addition to their perception roll.

Butcher Alley

OOC:if you really mean roll occult + lore 1 success. If int + occult is acceptable 3 success.

Butcher Alley

I’ll take either one.

At 3 successes, you recognize the flash of black and the strange behavior as demonic in nature. Neomah immediately spring to mind.

The small man speaks with a dozen overlapping voices: “Estrangelo, Megara sends her regards…..” making every word a low hiss.

Everyone roll join battle……..

Butcher Alley

4 successes on join battle. If an enemy is going to go before the entire party i will use thunderclap rush technique to make a withering attack against him out of turn. Assuming he is within short range.

As Scythe figures out the sign he readies his weapon and call, “This man is a shape-shifting demon prepare for others to appear.” As he prepares his weapon he looks at the burly man, “Is it worth dying for this monster?” With that he shoots forward into battle.

Butcher Alley

((2 successes on Perception + Awareness, 4 on Int + Lore, 7 on Join Battle, 1 success on Limit Trigger.))

When the man hisses out his greeting, Starfall goes pale and takes a step back before catching herself. She straightens up defiantly, casting her cloak aside.

Starfall begins passing her hands through the air before her, spiders chasing about her hands and arms like violet comets as she draws upon the power of Creation to make her will manifest. As they dance their intricate pavane they leave traceries of light behind in webs that sheathe her arms in delicate scales of bark.

“Blood and bone of the ancient Dragons,” she hisses, “grant me your power, gift me your strength!”

((7 successes on Shape Sorcery.))

Butcher Alley

((Casting Wood Dragon’s Claw – sorry for forgetting to mention.))

Butcher Alley

Xiandao had come with guards, though not his own. He was an important visitor, who had been promised a tour of the city, and here was an old temple of exactly the sort a rich, armature, lorekeeper would be interested in. So several guards of the city, and a horribly frightened well-to-do local guide, accompanied him along with the “mercenaries” he had found.

Xiandao pulled the ornate weapon at his side out. He did not like this whole affair, it reminded him too much of the bad old days when he had nothing and was always negotiating from a place of weakness. Damn this city.

(Wits + Awareness: 1 success
Int + Occult: 2 successes
Join Battle: 2 successes
Source: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showsinglepost.php?p=21016367&postcount=5)

Butcher Alley

((6 suxx on percep + awareness | 5 suxx on JB)) From his robes Wren pulls out Tusk, the orichalchum slayer Khatar seems to hum with power and the solars keen eyes flash brilliantly. “You were warned.” he states matter of factly.

Butcher Alley

Technical note: I need to know if you are bringing extras to the fight before the fight. Exthalion, I need the number of guards you have and roll their jb as a battle group for ease.

Wren: Just before the battle starts you notice two more of the blank faces in windows on either side of the alley. They clearly look to be armed with wicked looking brass throwing knives.

Current initiative is as follows (correct me if I’m wrong)

Starfall – 10 (7+3)
Wren – 8 (5 + 3)
Scythe/Neomah #4 7 (4 + 3)
Small man/Neomah#5 6 (3 +3)
Exthalion 5 (2 + 3)
Neomah #2 and #3 4 (1 +3)
Thrower Neomah #1 3 (0 +3)
Thrower Neomah #2 BOTCH….

Exthalion, Your guys will jump in on the initiative order they roll. For now assume big guy runs into them and tries to hack his way out of the situation as he is now pretty damn scared.

Anything other than I hit it will be an auto lv 1 stunt as a reminder. Better stunts will be awarded on the following post.

Starfall, you are up…….

Butcher Alley

(( my 5 was with the +3))

Butcher Alley

My mistake. I added 3 to everyone’s so it should even out. If I don’t hear from Starfall before tomorrow night, we can skip forward onto the next to keep things rolling.

Butcher Alley

((I already added the 3 automatic successes for Join Battle, sorry. So my 7 successes were my total. Sorry for not making that clear before.))

Starfall dashes forward, hair trailing behind her like a comet. She leaps into the air, driving a hand coated in sickly green sap toward the small neomah with a snarl of defiance.

((Spending 5 motes of Personal essence to use Flexing the Emerald Claw so that it won’t trigger Anima Banner. Making a Decisive attack. ))
((Attack roll: 10 10 9 8 7 7 7 7 4 2 for 10 successes on the attack, ))
((Damage roll: 8 8 8 5 4 4 3 for 3 health levels lethal damage.))
((Flexing the Emerald Claw: 2i damage per round for 4 rounds, which Starfall gains, So now her Initiative should be 5 for the reset + the 2i damage she did to the short neomah.))

Butcher Alley

Lv 2 stunt. Add the bonus dice to your next roll. If combat ends before then you can save them for the next fight.

Your sudden attack catches the little man off guard. He stumbles back as you rake at him with your claw. He does an impressive job blocking the blows but each scratch from the brittle thorns of your claws allows the poison to seep into its system. The effects of the poison slow it down just enough to rake a deep cut across its abdomen, splashing vile black blood down onto the street. It grabs its wound and hisses at you while shifting into its natural bald, genderless form.

Wren, you are up.

Butcher Alley

Wren surges forward the humidity of Wu Jian creating a sheen on his weapon and brow that makes him seem to shimmer like dawn upon the sea. He punches towards one of the ranged fighters catching him offbalance, the point of tusk is like a ray of sunlight in the morning and hisblue green robes like a cascading wave upon the surf.

(3 motes personal for Brawl excellency for 14 dice on a withering attack for 9 successes on NEomah #2)

Butcher Alley

Lv 2 stunt, use it on your next turn and honorable mention for uppercutting someone out of a house.

You are able to launch yourself into the sky and actually connect with the windowsill the neomah is looking out of. Wood and debris fly into its face as Tusk connects with the creature, leaving a superficial gash across its face.

Roll some damage. You hit his evasion of 4.

Butcher Alley

(( okay so after soak 12 dice of damage for 5 successes. Which takes my iniative from 8 to …14 – 1 for the successful attack and 5 successes, im fairly sure i sent this dude into crash?))

Butcher Alley

Correct. He is now at -2 and crashed.

The impact was enough stagger him out of the window and onto the ground. It lands with a thud and groggily gets back up to its feet still dazed from the unexpected blow.

Butcher Alley

JJ, you and the neomah are up. I will give you first move if you want to make it a clash or just do something else.

Butcher Alley

Scythe looks at the situation and feels that against demons he should strengthen his defenses. Its to late to cast the spell but he can summon the armor. Golden ruins appear on his arm of the armor becomes reinforced by his very essence. “Come beasts let me see how you handle me.”

OOC: Activate Glorious solar plate. With 4 peripheral and 6 personal. Also am I enganged with 3 non trivial opponents for the purposes of White reaper form.

Butcher Alley

Scythe:

The closest neomah swings at you with a bronze dagger low trying to stab arteries of your thigh and no doubt poison you faster……. and misses you completely (rolled 2 successes). At the last second you slide back hollowing out your stance allowing the dagger to miss you by mere inches.

Exthalion:

The small man and his partner Neomah rush at you from opposite sides with the small man still nursing his wounds from Starfall. The second thrower Neomah (botched one) chooses this time to try and throw at you completely missing his target and nearly hitting the small man. He jumps to avoid a dagger and crashes into his companion. The ensuing confusion offsets their turn by one tick meaning you are now up.

Butcher Alley

Good evening everyone! Sorry for the delay. It seems we may be down another player. Please take a specialty of your choice for free and 5 XP and 3 Solar XP for everyone.

Somewhere deep in the loom of fate the spiders notice a tangle that should not be. Strands are cut and agents dispatched. The two Eclipses have their fates changed such that they never made it to Wu Jian and are instead of on their own adventures. The events have unfolded as noted without them.

The fight has played out the same up to this point. Please repost your initiative scores in this next post and we will start round two.

Butcher Alley

i am at 14, and taking a investigation specialty in “Interrogations” i think its fitting actually

Butcher Alley

By my count that should put you as the next to attack, Wren. Go for it.

Butcher Alley

Scythe is still at 7. Also who is still on the battlefield?

Butcher Alley

Wren Spins around his robes swirling in the humid air like a coming monsoon. he leaps and strikes with Tusk at the other ranged combatant (Thrower Neomah 1) As the kahtar hits the trumpeting of the elephant can be heard like a battlecry, though afterwards none could say where it comes from. He drives into the thing like the crashing surf eroding all it its path. (( spending 4 motes personal for brawl excellency and 2 dice form prior stunt 17 dice to roll for Withering, 7 successes so 17 damage dice before evasion and soak? i ignore 4 points of armor due to the piercing quality of the kahtar, if his soak is 4 then i have 13 dice of damage for 3 levels of withering damage should send him into crash and add +4 to my iniative for a total of 18))

**EDIT: I did that wrong and subtracted evasion which i wasnt supposed to do, so i have 4 more dice for my withering roll yeilding 1 more success for an iniative of 19

**Edit 2: i forgot to add my strength into my damage dice too, i will get this right eventually guys i am So sorry ..no successes from those dice, im still at 19

Butcher Alley

Yes that Crashes Thrower one.

JJ you should be up next since Starfall made a decisive attack and reset to base.

Right now we have Wren, Starfall, and Scythe on the good side.

Small man/neomah (wounded) Thrower 1 (crashed) Thrower 2 (crashed) and one more Neomah striker. I dropped one since Ex is out.

I’m going to come up with a better way of organizing this and am open for ideas. Current initiative after Wren’s turn should be as follows:

Wren – 19
Scythe 7
Small man/Neomah 6
Neomah #2 4
Starfall – 3
Thrower Neomah #1 -1
Thrower Neomah #2 -1 (crashed due to botch)

Please correct me if I missed something or calculated wrong.

Butcher Alley

Scythe grins, “You were offered another option. You should have known better.” With a sudden twist he begins to move in a rhythmic form moving around the enemy before him a devastating dance of blade and body. Suddenly soul scream joins the dance in an upward arch that flows throught the small man looking Neomah. The dance continues from here the scythe moving around him like a blur of black steel as he moves to keep his enemy near him.

6 success on attack roll(Spent 4 Essence on Excellency +2 from stunt to a total of 16 dice) Damage is 16 + whatever over defense against soak. Making a Withering attack. Intend to use battle dancer method to defend against the first attack against me use Revolving Cresent defense against the 2nd and no other defenses against any further. (Defense would be 8, 6, 7… Increasing by 1 from there on for each further attack.

Since i havnt stated the ability increase yet Ill increase presence from 3-4 and take a specialty in presence of Intimacies (or if that’s not specific enough creating Positive Intimacies)

Butcher Alley

Wren and Scythe, forgot to mention. Both of you take a lv 2 stunt for your descriptions. I will do another quick post in a bit.

Butcher Alley

Should i check the soak on the quick charecter in the book to roll my own damage?

Butcher Alley

JJ, I completely read your post wrong. My apologies. Their soak is 4 so after your rolls you should have hit them for 2 initiative damage and gained 2 initiative. Please double check my math since this is a learning curve for all of us. lol.

Your blur of metal pushes the small man back from gaining ground. When he dodges a scythe, you hit him in the knees with the hilt. When he avoids the hilt you dig slashes across his arms, chest and face spiraling the ground with his thick, black, demonic blood.

Butcher Alley

I hadnt rolled damage yet. If the soak is 4 and defence is 7 that should be 12 dice of damage. I havnt rolled the damage so unless you did that needs to be rolled right.

Edit: any successes over defence increase the 12 dice. If i only rolled 2 success thats fine.

Butcher Alley

Yup. I suck at this today lol. So you roll your dice over their defense which should be 4 for their evasion (the higher one). Once you beat the defense your raw damage is (strength + weapon damage + successes over their defense) and subtract the soak (4 in this case). Anything left over gets rolled as damage dice. Withering attacks double 10s. All the successes you get take initiative from the bad guy and give it to you. Hopefully that makes sense.

If anyone needs me to, I can post an example combat in the OCC post for reference.

Butcher Alley

I was just making sure we were all on the same page so i rolled only 2 successes on 15 dice or do i still need to roll?

Butcher Alley

So if you rolled 2 successes on the damage roll then you gain 2 initiative and small man loses 2. I’m assuming thats what you meant?

Butcher Alley

So i rolled got 8 success for damage on 15 dice. So that means 1 inititive from hitting + 8 damage + 5 for the break. So my new initive should be 21.

Butcher Alley

works for me. Looks like you just took the leaderboard for the next round so far lol.

Small man crashes.

As you continue your assault, the wounded small man is making visible effort to keep up with your deceptively fast and devastating blows and is completely off balance.

Butcher Alley

I think number 4 is up then Starfall right?

Butcher Alley

((ooc oh wait we get a +5 if we send someone into crash? i didnt account for that and ive sent 2 into crash…. i should have another +10? is that right?))

Butcher Alley

Correct. Crashing an opponent is +5 for an initiative break.

Butcher Alley

Starfall you should be up since the small man dropped in initiative score.

Butcher Alley

(( okay than that puts me at 29 for crashing two opponents ))

Butcher Alley

Starfall whirls around, the polished wooden claws on her fingers catching the meager light as she drives them toward the small demon’s midsection with a vicious snarl.
((Decisive attack, 4 successes. 3 successes for damage, initiative will reset to 3 and then get bumped to 5 when the neomah takes its next 2i loss.))

Butcher Alley

4 successes hit both its parry and evasion scores. Three successes hit for 3 levels of damage. Small guy is now in its -2 health levels.

New initiative lineup:

Wren – 29
Scythe 21
Neomah #2 3 (took full defense lowering init by 1. Ev 6 Pry 5 til next)
Starfall – 3
Thrower Neomah #1 -1 (Crashed by Wren) *current tick
Thrower Neomah #2 -1 (crashed due to botch)
Small man/Neomah -2 Crashed by Scythe, wounded to -2 by Starfall)

Butcher Alley

Thrower one rolls on a shoulder out the way to put distance between Starfall and itself and lets a Brass hairpin fly straight at her face and is promptly batted aside in mid air by her wooden claw.

Thrower two does the same by sending a hair pin straight at the eyes of Scythe. He spins at the last second to bring Soulscream to intercept.

Wren is up

Butcher Alley

Wren Grins at Neomah # 2, but it is far from friendly.a drop of condensation falls slowly onto the ground as all of Heaven pauses to watch this moment, holding its collective breath for this disturbance of fate, or so it seems. “You are a plague upon my streets and home, but even a plague can be quelled.” He lunges forward tusk vibrating in the humid air ad he stabs into the hell beast.

(launching into a decisive attack 6 motes personal for a brawl excellency, rolling 15 dice need 6 suxx to hit. 7 suxx total,

rolling 29 dice for damage, and 7 motes personal, tapping out my personal pool, for heaven thunder hammer for 12L damage and not only do i knock him prone but i knock him a short range and he suffers damage as if falling from a medium height. iniative resets to 3. ))

Butcher Alley

Level 2 stunt for the attack. Same rules as always, you can use it on your next roll.

Wren’s attack hits through the neomah’s pathetic attempt at defense. The windows in the alley shatter at the sound of the boom generated from the strike. The force of the blow sends nearly a gallon of black demon blood into the air where it hangs for a split second as the demon is driven into the ground with such force that it creates a deep furrow and crater as if a comet had hit the ground and skidded to a stop. As the black blood drops around the demon corpse, a green flame starts in its chest and consumes it completely. Leaving only a smoking crater left in its wake.

Very nicely done.

New initiative:

Scythe 21 *current tick
Starfall – 3
Wren – 3 (turn taken murdering #2)
Thrower Neomah #1 -1 (Crashed by Wren)
Thrower Neomah #2 -1 (crashed due to botch)
Small man/Neomah -2 Crashed by Scythe, wounded to -2 by Starfall)

Scythe is now up.

Butcher Alley

Storyteller are you rembering to roll starfalls poison damage at the end of each round thr small man shoukd be taking 2 dice of lethal each round now thats he is crashed and 2 init from the first round.

Butcher Alley

Ah I was thinking it was at each of the victim’s turns and not the end of each.

Rolling the 4 dice total and they all come up as successes. So he is now at -4 penalties and -6 initiative. Starfall should have gotten the 2i initiative as well and I will add 2 since I screwed up the calculations. New table looks like this:

Scythe 21 *current tick
Starfall – 7
Wren – 3 (turn taken murdering #2)
Thrower Neomah #1 -1 (Crashed by Wren)
Thrower Neomah #2 -1 (crashed due to botch)
Small man/Neomah -6 Crashed by Scythe, wounded to -6 by Starfall from wounds at -4 and -2 for poison)

Please correct me if I made any mistakes. Its a learning curve for all of us lol. Also you can just call me Roy

Butcher Alley

Okay ill have to post fully after work so if starfall wants to post she can im debating between attacking the guy who full defended or the one that botched so started crashed.

Butcher Alley

No worries. Fully defend guy is dead thanks to Wren. Sorry if I didn’t make that clear. Next fight won’t be all the same type.

Butcher Alley

Scythe continued his dance of death moving closer to the thrower that had yet to be able to truly do anything. Caught off gaurd from the fight and overmatched at every turn. The scythe twirled a black blur that feinted towards the small man who was barly standing but with a sudden twist of his body the death spiral changed direction the first thing the beast felt was an armored elbow striking her stomach and then a twisting that turned her. As she tried to dart away Scythe let the blade slip outwards so the hand slammed against the demons body trapping her between him and the scythe blade. For just a moment time stopped and then the Zenith stepped back and allowed the blade to cut his enemy in half.

OOC: My dice love damage the most ever.

Rolling Deciceve attack against thrower #2. Rolled 5 Success on the 11 dice + 1 Auto Success from willpower. So thats 6 Successes should be a hit.

And on damage I got 15 Success out of the 21…and if 10s counted twice right now that would actually be 20…wow…

Either way Reset down to 3 i believe. Plan for Defense will be pay 1 mote against the healthy demon if she attack me to raise Defense to 8. Just take the super injured ones attack if it attacks.

Butcher Alley

That. Is. A. Thing. Of. Beauty……

Very nice Lv 2 stunt to keep for a future roll. 15 damage levels one shot kills the poor demon sap lol.

The top half of the demon hits the ground with a wet thud and a howl in an unearthly symphony of voices. It tries to crawl its way away from you and dies eyes wide and mouth open two feet later. The bottom half sprays the sick black blood like a gyser before bursting into green flames with the top half.

current initiative:

Starfall – 7 *current tick
Scythe 3 (reset after Texas Scythe Massacre)
Wren – 3 (turn taken murdering #2)
Thrower Neomah #2 -1 (crashed due to botch)
Small man/Neomah -6 Crashed by Scythe, wounded to -6 by Starfall from wounds at -4 and -2 for poison)

Starfall you are up!

Butcher Alley

Starfall snarls out curses in nearly-unintelligible Old Realm as she slashes her right hand toward the small neomah, then beings her left upward from her waist to attempt to rake open its belly to counter its attempts to evade her feint.
((Still making Decisive attacks on the neomah – 5 successes on the attack, 2 on damage. Init resets to 3 until the next time the neomah loses 2i.))

Butcher Alley

((seeing as we all then attack simultaneously i’ll go ahead and go if thats okay with everyone?))

Flush from his victory Wren spins around the blood on his kahtar flicking off on to a wall across from him, his eyes flash triumphantly and he lunges again, with the force of a tidal wave crashing into Thrower Neomah #2

(( 14 dice including 2 from stunt adding in another 4 with brawl excellency for 18 dice – 8 successes 2 successes over his evasion so my damage pool is 15 my piercing negats 4 points of soak so rolling full pool with 9 successes so my new total is 3 + 1 + 9 = 13 initiative. woo))

Butcher Alley

Starfall please take a lv 2 stunt for your future rolls.

The Wooden claw rips through what’s left of the demon’s torso splattering strange organs in various states of ruin on the ground. The neomah falls to its knees and folds in half before erupting into green flame.

current initiative:

Starfall – 3
Scythe 3 current tick
Wren – 3 current tick
Thrower Neomah #2 -1 (crashed due to botch)

Butcher Alley

Wren take another Lv 2 stunt.

The impact knocks the breath from the demon’s tainted lungs. Its black eyes go wide as it struggles to regain its composure and not crumple to the ground………

current initiative:

Starfall – 3 (turn taken)
Scythe 3 current tick
Wren – 3 (turn take)
Thrower Neomah #2 -14 (this low into the negs means the next successful withering or decisive attack will end it. )

Butcher Alley

Scythe moves towards the Neomah as its still realling swing the scythe wide to feint instead he leaps upwards and slams his body down into her chest lining the scythe up with the back of her neck as she falls. Before teh blade takes her head his other foot lands on the ground and catches his weight leaving a booted foot pressuring her chest. With just a bit of pressure he could crush down on her with his foot and the soul scream would take her head. “Now, you will answer my questions and should your answers please me we can discuss what your life is worth. Resist and I take your head.” Leaning low over her his face close to her he allows the mark of the zenith caste to burn to life pressing home his point.

OOC: Flurring unarmed strike and a social attack. 5 success on 12 dice on the attack. Spending 1 mote. Spending 4 motes on the threaten social attack rolled 7 success on 15 dice + using my auto success from the level 2 stunt from earlier for a total of 8 success against resolve. I think i should effectivly have a defining intimacy considered I literally could have defeated her with the previous hit had I desired. Also spending 1 mote to activate caste mark. That means I should be down 1 after the respiration this round.

Defense is 4 in case it comes up.

Butcher Alley

Wren pulls a white cloth from a pocket and wipes the blade of the kahtar before it disappears into the folds of his robe and he crosses his arms and looks to Scythe and Starfall. “everyone okay?” he asks and then looks to the Neomah. “As for you, you WILL answer his questions, and truthfully I might add, and then you will die. There is no choice.”

Butcher Alley

Starfall flexes her fingers, and the bark covering her arms below the elbow fades away into the unformed potential from whence it came. She stares in silent fury at the body of the demon she slew, taking a series of long breaths to calm herself.

“I am fine,” she says in a voice only slightly above a murmur, then crosses the alley to reclaim her cloak from where she had let it fall.
